For our toolmaking department, we are looking for a motivated apprentice tool mechanic (m/f/d). With us, you won't just learn metalworking by the book; you'll work on real tools that will be used in production later on.
What you learn with us
- Manufacture, maintenance and improvement of tools for rubber moulded parts and rubber composite parts
- Reading technical drawings and cleanly planning individual work steps
- Fundamentals of Metalworking: Filing, Drilling, Milling, Turning, Grinding and Measuring
- Working on CNC milling machines, CAM programmes and the die-sinking EDM machine
- Checking and measuring tools and components with high accuracy
- Support with sampling of new tools and products
- Troubleshooting tool and manufacturing problems together with production and engineering
- Optional insight into tool construction in SolidWorks
You're bringing this
- Interest in technology, machinery, metalworking and precision work
- Manual dexterity and good spatial awareness
- Solid foundations in mathematics and technical understanding
- Careful, reliable, and focused work approach
- Motivation, to learn new things and to develop yourself step by step
- Teamwork skills and enthusiasm for a small, direct toolmaking team
This is what we offer you
- Practical training in a real toolmaking workshop with a direct link to production
- Experienced toolmakers passing on their knowledge from over 35 years of practical experience
- Short distances, quick decisions, and pragmatic solutions
- Varied tasks instead of pure serial work
- Good development opportunities and a realistic prospect of being taken on with good performance
- A location with good public transport connections
