Job description

Introduction

From the customer request to the serial component – you ensure that everything comes together. As soon as a customer places an order, you take on responsibility for its execution. You coordinate with customers, design, toolmaking, purchasing, and production, ensuring that a technical idea becomes a functioning serial product. In doing so, you keep track of deadlines, technical requirements, and the next project steps. You are not a classic salesperson or a mere office assistant. You are the central interface between the customer and production.

Why the position is special
At many companies, a project manager oversees standard products. At us, almost every component is custom-made. Each new project means:

  • New geometries
  • new tools
  • New materials
  • New manufacturing challenges

You oversee the technical design and assembly of rubber components from the initial sample design to mass production.

Responsibilities

  • Managing projects
→ You coordinate new customer projects from order intake to serial release.
  • Contact person for customers
→ You accompany customers throughout the entire project phase and thereafter in ongoing operations, answering technical and organizational questions.
  • Interface with production
→ You work closely with toolmaking, engineering, and production, ensuring that information reaches the right people at the right time.
  • Monitoring appointments
→ You keep an eye on toolmaking, patternmaking, approvals and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate inspections
→ You organize initial samples, test reports, and approvals and accompany the customer through the approval process.
  • Managing changes
→ When drawings, requirements, or deadlines change, you coordinate the implementation with all involved parties.
  • Improving processes
→ You identify recurring problems and help continuously improve our project processes.
